My Project - 1972 GS Clone (Pics)

    I put all the belts in the pot, buckles and all. Except with the retractable belts, I cut a 2x4, and used screws with washers to bolt them onto the 2x4. Then I pulled out the belt, and used 2 clamps (only had 2) and the other 2 I just wrapped the belt with ducktape so it couldn't retract. Then just dangled the belts into the pot with te rest.

    I also stirred them with a wooden spoon, which is now completely black... (rit dye is nasty stuff)

    Haven't touched the car in almost a year... My car is in storage - pulling it out in the next week or so to drop the engine in, as its all just sitting ready to go. Then I have no idea what I will work on next... body work is done, but I have to sand it still - that will be the time consuming part - and interior is all gutted.. Has anyone Painted their bumpers?? Does it look bad? I have 3 full sets - was thinking of polishing up the best set, and maybe painting the worst set black or something just to see if it looks cool or not..
