I need a wiring diagram for 1970 skylark 350 2 door , I'm working on fuel gauge and have dash apart, my fuse panel doesn't list "fuel" on fuses, does the "gauges" fuse (10A) control this?
Have new sending unit needle drops from 3'o'clock to 1 line above "E" line but won't move up when fuel added, Resistor? what should resistor ohm be? have 11 gallons in tank now.
Look at these diagnostic instructions: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/fuel-gauge-and-sender-operation-and-diagnosis.330220/
Thanks, I still need a wiring diagram, someone installed a radio and didn't have a clue how to do wiring and I need to make sure everything is corrected.
I tested gauge on bench and it works properly, and goes full range to "E" line, I will mount in car asap and see if it still won't go to E like before, also, the resistor is 86 Ohms. anyone have a wiring diagram?
The wiring diagram is in the 1970 Buick Chassis manual. That's something everyone owning one of these cars should have. It isn't like they are hard to find. You can get them original on Ebay, in reprint, and even on CD ROM. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...l1313&_nkw=1970+buick+chassis+manual&_sacat=0 http://www.taperformance.com/proddetail.asp?prod=TA_3070 https://www.amazon.com/1970-Buick-CD-ROM-Repair-Manual/dp/B00435NJZG It is very difficult to get the wiring diagram in the above chassis manual on my scanner, but I did a decent job of it. I had to combine 2 scans because the page is a fold out and would not fit on the scanner in one try. If you send me an e mail to Larrymta@verizon.net, I'll send it to you. I'll post it here, but it might be reduced in size. If I e mail it to you, it will be full size so you can zoom in on what you want to look at.
