Looking for complete a/c, alternator and power steering brackets for a '70 455 going into a '69 GS 400 convertible. Also need the short water pump pulley #1375146. Car looks and runs great but someone stuck an Oldsmobile 350 in it years ago (WTF??) So I'm starting from scratch with the brackets.

Your best bet will be to go with the 71 and up system,as the 70 and down is harder and more expansive to get.Bruno.

I have a bunch of brackets in Az. Should go out after Xmas. If you still need them, I will send you info. Jim

Not too far from bullhead city if you want to make a trip after you see pictures. I have a lot of 67 stuff still. Been collecting for my car, 40+ years.

I'm slowly putting stuff together. Any chance you've got lower alternator alum bracket 1381728?

I am going to Az in a few days and I will check. Is that the only piece you need now? Won't be going again until early summer. Jim

Thx, maybe you can shed some light on this for me. I'm building a '70 455 to go into my '60 GS 400. I bought a set of brackets and pulleys I thought would work but they are not correct. I believe they came from a '67 Wildcat. The lower aluminum bracket I have now is 1378318. It bolts up but does not allow the alternator to sit correctly. After some research I think I need 1381728?? What vehicle did your bracket come off of? do you know if it will work on she short waterpump for my application?

    Thx,
    Jim

This one was off of a 69 skylark. Its datecoded 69... The other one I have was off of a 71 skylark with a 350. I had that one on my 69 gs 400 for the duration that I had the car.....are your alternator wires clocked right?

Ok, I believe that is the correct bracket. It seems 1387208 and 1381728 are the same bracket. How much do you want for it shipped to Phoenix, AZ? How can I pay you?

I believe the Aluminum Bracket you want for 1969 400 OR 1970 455 is part number 1231871.

(To my knowledge) any other part numbers are for Bigger Cars. (Or possibly 350 Engines)

Maybe someone else will chime in on this but I'm pretty certain of the 1231871 Bracket being correct for A-Body Big Block cars...…

    I also believe that 1387208 is a 1969 Wildcat A/C Bracket. 1381728 is 1968 - 70 Riviera.
    .

Not trying to mess up any sales here but after talking to you I know you've already received some wrong parts. Just trying to keep from that happening again :)

All I know is, this came off of the 1969 skylark custom that I currently own. Everything appeared to fit like it was supposed to. This week, I will try to dig out the bracket that was on my 1969 g.s. 400 20191229_221811.jpg 20191229_221802.jpg 20191229_221754.jpg 20191229_221738.jpg

Thanks to you all for the help. Spent a lot of time researching online and I come back with 1231871, 1387208 and 1381728 as being correct?? I just don't know for sure....can anyone shed some light? The bracket I have now is 1378318 which I know is wrong for sure.

OK, here's the update. Todd, you are correct. The part number for the 69-70 bracket is 1231871. I have attached the bracket list as it may help someone else in the future. I don't see a listing for the 1387208 at all. If you show it as the bracket for 69 wildcat it should fit my needs?

I honestly don't know for sure if the Wildcat Bracket works on the A-Body cars. Never tried it?!?!
It may work, it may not. I just wanted to share what I know because I know you've already spent money on brackets that didn't work.

I agree, Todd. Let's make sure you get the part that will work, Jim. I would rather lose a sale than send the wrong part.

Just to confirm, here are the Part Numbers for the UPPER Bracket that attaches to the Intake Manifold (and Compressor) and allows for Compressor Belt adjustment:

1970 - 1387136 (However most of these I've seen do not have part #'s) I need one of these as well for a car in the shop if anyone reading this has one!

1971-72 1235775 This one also has a Hex Screw in it for the ground wire.
