I need to find compatible headers for my 1968 Riviera with a 430ci v8. I don't quite trust google to find the right headers so I'm trusting my fellow gearheads to point me in the right direction. I'm hoping to find headers that will work with Flowmaster Super 10's that intend to put on. I'm looking for the low, mean rumble that every muscle car needs. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I think you are going to be limited to just manifolds or TA shorty headers for that application. Most headers re primarily for the A-body cars. I believe that year Riviera has a different style frame and will not work with the typical header.

Riv is an X chassis. Header mount mufflers more than likely won't fit. I ran manifolds in my 67.

My buddy has a 68 Riviera in his shop and it is a 430 with TA shorties.
Not sure on the mufflers though, but next time I'm over I'll take a look.

I'm not sure a "low mean rumble" is exactly what you'll get with the Super 10's. If you're driving on the street:

My brother has flowmaster 40s on his 430 with Shorty's and 2.5 flowmaster pipes. But it has ported heads and edelbrock intake matched to heads with a 284-88 cam and msd ignition . definitely rumbles. Cam will change sound alot

If you want long tubes you will have to have something custom made. TA shortys are your only other option. The exhaust comes down inside the frame rails and then crosses under behind the front wheels and runs along the outside of the frame. NCM_0053.jpg
