I had mike at TA build me a set of steel rockers that are just like the aluminium ones no head modification required just bolt on and go
Here is my question, why run a full length bar like stock type Buicks in very high performance engines like Rod's in the begin with? You should of went with individual shaft mount roller rockers. More stabilized, more accurate, and definitely better adjustability. It has been done too. Just saying.
I have not installed them yet do not foresee any spring problems although I run a very small diameter high dollar spring. I'm not sure how to load a picture on here I will half to ask Danie
They are very narrow but they are heavier than an alum one I think TA took pics b4 he sent them I'll ask
4340 maybe...4130 is tubing IIRC. Starting with a 4340 pre-hard might not need any further heat treat for rocker arm duty. I was going to ask the same Q.
DUHHHH! That's what I get when I post something when I'm half asleep and have CM roll cages on my mind!! LOL My bad. Yes.... 4340 (nickel), 4140 or one of the 4xxx series of CM.... I would guess. I'm sure Mike will chime in.
A lot cheaper than going the Jesel route. I wish these were around a couple of years ago. I bet they look better on a Spintron too.
