Looks like the stem/guide is offset or bent towards the other cylinder and the valve hit the chamber slightly off the seat that direction too? Optical delusion?
Optical illusion....only thing we can see that looks off is that little imperfection toward the middle of the valve stem like an air pocket, but it's really small so I wouldn't blame it either. Just one of those things, I believe.
Because I don't want to turn this into a brand bashing trip. And it's under warranty and we've got rules against posting stuff like that out there at work. Just a little interesting engine damage I felt everybody would enjoy seeing, despite whatever kind of car/suv it might be....most of you know what I do for a living and what company pays my bills
Going back to the factory. Won't need to tear down any further....tear down to the point of failure and done is how warranty works. Wish I could keep it and see what the bottom of the piston looks like, but once you get this far you're done with it and they send a new engine.
