    Chuck,

Sorry about the fragmented info: NO, I used my existing 7 X 15 Buick Rallys for the install.

Please post dash pics! (Re: New '65 Custom Sport Wagon Owner from SoCal...)

Dear Les and V-8 Buick cool-cats! :bglasses:

I just looked up the Old Air Products 300 series under-dash unit and yes indeed, it looks very period correct and very nice looking!

Please do post photos as your installation unfolds! There are a lot of cars without factory A/C vents and that's a problem for guys who want to upgrade. So you might be a trail-blazer for a number of guys around here who really want A/C!

    Thanks for sharing! :TU:

    Cheers, Edouard :beer

I just completed the under hood portion of my Sport Wagon's hybrid a/c system by installing the condenser & drier, and connecting the hoses between these components and the compressor. As viewed in the pics below, I chose to route the #6 & #8 hoses over the passenger side wheeltub and the #10 suction from the compressor directly to the firewall. Next step is to hole punch the firewall for the liquid & suction lines to pass thru grommets and on to the evaporator. The next session involves mounting the evaporator unit under the dash, and then connecting the wiring harness and the liquid and suction lines from the under hood area. Note: the extra hose coiled around the a/cleaner will be routed thru the firewall to the evaporator.

Getting closer to  air for HOT summertime travels.

Looking good! (Re: New '65 Custom Sport Wagon Owner from SoCal...)

Dear Les and V-8 Buick longroof fans that are cool-cats!

That's great progress! It does look like you will be able to cruise during the summer and still be comfortable! You might want to insulate the roof above the headliner someday. The problem with longroofs is that provides an awful lot of surface area for the sun to heat up. I'm not ready to take on the headliner yet, but it is on my do-to list.

    Cheers, Edouard

Breaking news: In the beginning of this little wagon's purchase I was happy that there was little in the way of speed equipment available for Buick's 340 inch motor. That joy has left me and now I have the need for BBB power! With the help of the guys at TA Performance and their special parts to produce enough power from my donor 430 to power my wagon to 11.50/120mph, the NHRA rollbar limit. Stay tuned for pics and details on this part of the wagon's build

    Hey Joesph,
Well as you can see, I need more Buick power-you knew this would happen! That’s great news that your son is following in your footsteps with one of the coolest Chevys ever. How’s the family during this international emergency? I was hoping to see everybody at the Corn Feed show which is cancelled now
