I hunted quite a bit for the correct shifter ball for my GSX and realized that no one makes the correct knob. 68-72 4 speed cars with a console used a plain shiny black knob with no shift pattern because the shift pattern was in the console. The only ones I could find were a dull black with a raised seam around the middle. The other had an insert that fit a bigger insert and moved around. No good as it often was pulled off when shifting. I found an OEM supplier and had a few correct units made. These are as good or probably better than NOS as they are new. Also made in USA!!! They are correct size and have a single insert that fits the original Buick Hurst shifter with 3/8" 24 fine thread. Most other GM used course thread. They also come with the jam nut. I have three new units for sale for $40 each. I need to find some good size boxes and plan to ship priority so shipping has not been determined yet. Most likely around $6 extra. If you are sick of your old beat up or incorrect unit. Here it is. This knob also has earlier Buick and some Olds applications. You do the homework on that.

Sorry Herb, I didn't see that you wanted two of them, I just counted the replies. If you need them both, I can get one from Thorton's. I thought I read somewhere they were correct in thread size and finish? Did you try one of these Dave? http://thorntonmusclecars.com/shifer-balls

Ok, Herb, James and Nick are in. I decided to let go of an extra so one more is up for grabs at this price.

James, I think I have that one but from Fusick. It looks like it is dull with the raised equator on it. I think original was shiny like the one with shift pattern. Do you have an original you can compare?

Troy and Rich. I will get another batch made. Probably at end of month. Anyone else let me know.

More good news. I spoke with someone who is restoring low miles GSX four spd and original knob is shiny black. So I guess mine is correct.
