So if I heard the engine idle go up and sound smoother that means it probably advanced correct

Edit for giggles ran to the store in the car and man the dwell adjustment alone woke my car up! Tires have zero problem lighting up way more power! Off idle stumble gone! Now I'm excited to "power time" adding the spring kit

Larry I'm doing Springs and new vacuum canister today. On the vacuum canister black stop piece which one of your pictures on the power timing thread do you recomend? You posted two different options

No I did not. One set of pictures is the Crane canister, the other 2 are of a STOCK canister. Limiting the two use different methods. Look carefully at the pictures. Crane mounts the black limiting cam using one of the canister mounting screws. I recommend mounting the cam in front of the pull pin. That involves drilling and tapping a hole.

Ok I want to go with your way. Is the drill hole method typically the best or will I be doing more adjustments? Do it and done?

The drill hole method makes the canister adjustable from 0* to 12*. You rotate the cam and tighten the screw, and each notch is about 2*. My e mail address is in my signature. Send me an e-mail and I will send you pictures and a word document with instructions on how to do this.
