  1. can any one give me some advice on the steps to take to replace the door hinges?
I have a 64 skylark and the doors close bad so I bought a hinge replacement kit and am not sure the best steps to take . Thanx

The upper ones are easiest, but they are usually the ones least worn. You need to support the bottom of the door, and the hinge pin just pops out with a punch. Replace those bushings too. You probably don't want to hear this, but the best way is to remove the doors, because the lower hinge with the detent and spring are best handled by a professional. I've seen this done at home, very carefully, but you really need a special tool for the lower hinge spring and many body shops have it. I would remove the doors, remove the hinges, and have a body shop tackle it. Also, it seems like I heard recently that the 64-65 hinges were being reproduced, that might be an alternative.

PITA type of job on a driver.
