Hello, My father was a longtime Buick man and especially fond of the 425 nailheads. He put them in lots of peoples cars back in the 70s and also put one is his 1929 Buick Hearse...yes hearse..lol . I have the hearse and the engine is actually a real X code with the correct carbs and manifold etc. I also have a 29 Buick roadster with a 425 in it backed with a four speed. I recently bought a 1970 GS 455 from a collector in Arizona. I drove a 1972 GS 455 to high school and had a stage one later in life. I wanted another one and this car was a good fit. It will need lots of things as it has sat since the early 90s. It is about 98% numbers matching. I look forward to sharing where I can and learning from all the members on the forum. Thank you.
Right on and welcome. We're are you located in southern California. I'm out here in the inland empire. Post pictures of your cars. Is the 70 GS 455 you just got a silver color car by chance.
Here is the Hearse. I will take pictures of the GS today. It just arrived and I am busy looking it over and convincing the wife it was a great deal.....lol. I don’t know if I have pictures of the roadster. I appreciate all the kind responses and look forward to learning.
Sweet Yes most here knew about that car. He is also a board member. Great to see you found the best fourm about Buicks
