Hey, everybody! I just bought a pristine 1974 LeSabre convertible with 13,000 miles. I don't even have it yet, but am super excited about getting it. It's been a while since I've had a Buick. I had a '68 Riviera about 10 years ago. I'm a confirmed car nut with a very eclectic collection. Primarily I like big cruisers and muscle cars. I'm sure once I have this beauty in my hands that I'll have some questions, but here's a pic of it for now.

I found this in a notebook in the trunk. I redacted parts of the owners' names.

LOL, Even the '74 455's had some decent torque tho:p

I believe your car came with 210 hp from the factory (Vin 5th digit T). Put on dual exhaust and you should bump that to 230 hp.

    It's a factory dual exhaust car. 230 is better than 170 :)

Don’t worry about HP, that comes in at higher RPM that these cars don’t see. GMs big engines in the smog years still made a lot of torque off idle; that’s what gets these crates rolling. Larry’s power timing thread, along with a well set up qjet, free flowing exhaust, and maybe a looser torque converter all accentuate torque.
