you're right Ray. The codes are 21: TPS. I will adjust it when I find my little TPS tool...grrr 23: MC Solenoid...not sure on this one... Sorry it took me so long to get back to you with the codes, been busy with work. Edit, I should also mention that the light only comes on if I let the car idle in gear. If i put it in N at stoplights etc...no check engine light.
Please refer again to the original posts regarding the code 21. It may be necessary to revisit the problems described there, as it is possible for the computer or the wiring to be setting the code 21. Same with the code 23, which is the mixture control solenoid. Try this: turn the key on, with the hood up, but do not start the engine. Listen for the solenoid; you should heat it tick for a few seconds, then stop. I, at this point, do not believe that two carbs have the same problem. I think that something in the vehicle is setting the codes, and we will have to do some troubleshooting to determine what it is. Be patient. I have extensive electronics instructor experience, and I can walk you through the fix. Peruse my previous posts, checking everything twice, and we'll go from there.
