    Hi

Anyone know who has available for sale a new 71 Buick GS overflow tank?

The reason why I am asking I purchased one from parts place inc in late december 2012 because they stated they have them on e-bay but in reality they DON'T! Now I get the BS that its back ordered for 2-3 weeks but they already got my money!

Frank McIntyre had these made, only repros that I'm aware of. Anyone listing them for sale should be Frank's tank. buicfrank here on the board. www.mcintyreenterprisesltd.com He may have stock.

TPP is a joke. A lot of the stuff they sell is for a Chevelle. Just go to CARS they have them.

I had a typo, forgot the ltd in the address. It works, but Frank has just posted in another thread that he's not making anymore.

I got a black top for my 71 from CARS in the summer. Clear top is for early 70 models.

Looks like another good reproduction has gone the way of the pteranodon and common sense. Sorry to see Frank is not making these anymore.

Yea I believe they just keep taking orders without having the overflow tank available.

I dont think ANYONE ever recieved one from parts place.

I ordered one last December and finally asked for my money back after months.

I dont know why part place does this and why e-bay is allowing it!

I'll keep you posted on if I receive mine. It's been over ten days since I ordered it. I sent them a message through ebay. Their auction says they still have some available.

I wouldn't hold my breath on getting the overflow tank anytime soon! But they do love getting your money! Their answer will always be within 3 weeks we be mailing they out! That was the answer I kept getting since last December!

I went ahead and messaged them through ebay that I hadn't received it yet. Apparently ebay "opens a case" automatically when you do that now, so they'll have to deal with me one way or another. I'll keep you guys updated on how that pans out for me. It looks like they've "sold" about half a dozen of these tanks in the past month or so, and I didn't see any negative feedback from buyers of them.

If this doesn't work out, does anybody know of another source for these? I'm really tired of looking at my crusty yellow overflow tank. Does OPGI actually carry these, or is it another TPP situation?

I'm only aware of McIntyre Enterprises reproduction tanks, which these vendors had been reselling. Frank is no longer making them. This ebay situation almost makes me think TPP is using this to get enough paid orders to justify making a run of tanks themselves. Just speculation on my part...

You might be right. Just got a response from them that "the manufacturer had encountered a delay in production. We are looking at having them this week or early next week." The ebay auction shows that they have about 15 left "in stock."

Lovely. At least it's been paid through paypal and ebay so it should be easy to go through the refund process. I'll give them a week and if they can't provide a tracking number I'll bail. Still leaves me without an overflow tank though.

OPGI lists the tank as "arriving soon" with an expected date of "the week of 7/29." We'll see what happens.

Well, I just had them refund my money. Looks like they're never getting these in stock as far as I can tell.
