New reproduction 15 inch GS chrome road wheels. Most authentic reproduction wheels available.
No more waiting months for wheels with poor quality welds, incorrect paint, or show chromed spokes.
Centers from original Buick wheels are carefully cleaned, reconditioned, and repainted correct satin black in the lug nut pockets. This preserves the original look of the satin/brushed finish chrome spokes and ring that welds to the outer shell.
New outer shells made by the leading supplier to most big name custom wheel manufacturers are machine welded to the centers in one continuous bead with proper penetration for maximum strength. The weld bead is covered with silver paint as was done originally.
100% made in the USA. You will not be disappointed with the quality of these wheels!
3 styles are available;
1971 and newer 15x7 $200ea.
1970 “WG” 15x7 using the correct shallow center. $220ea.
Custom 15x8 $200ea.

WOW Great response guys.
To answer in order:

I have not found 15x10 shells available so at this point they can not be made.

To use your centers you would need to ship me the entire wheel. I could only credit you $10 each so shipping would cost more than you would save. It would also slow down my processing.
A 15x8 wheel would look like a "WG" anyway because the extra inch would have to be split front and rear. It would be like 5 inch back spacing. I don't think you would want the full 1 inch added to the back spacing would you?

Wheels are made in Michigan and ship from here.

Custom offsets are not really possible because the diameter where the center welds in is not very wide. 4 inch back spacing like a WG is as far out as they can go.

The 5x5 wheels are totally different in how they are made. I don't know how they could be safely made wider. I can't make 17's sorry.

To purchase wheels give me a call 248-459-2247 9 am to 8 pm please.

Thanks
Steve

15 x8 back spacing range would be from 4" to 5 1/2".
Wheels are now on website.

Those centers look painted silver rather than brushed metal as they came from the factory, hard to tell in the photo. I will call him to clarify. it looks like what I just got from Then and Now.

My centers are clean original with the lug pockets and backside painted. NO paint on the spokes. NO shiney rechrome.
The 70 and older wheels had a sandblasted looking chrome on them. 71 to around 1980 had more of a brushed look to them. Some look like a mixture of both.
80's wheels looked almost full polished chrome and a taller center where the cap goes on. I don't use them at all.

BadBrad Got 4-speed?

Do these need lug-centric balancing?

No
What is being called "lug centric" is using an adapter to mount poor quality, often overseas, wheels to the balancer. OE wheels are held to tighter tolerance and this allows wheels to be conventionally mounted to the machine using a centering cone.
GS chrome wheels fit the brake rotors and axle shafts quite tightly for stamped steel. The lugs complete the centering process.
I think this "lug Centric" thing started when one of the big wheel makers was buying new centers from China.
Another thing I've found is tire stores are so used to alloy wheels they freak out when they see .030" run out on a stamped steel wheel and think it is bent. Find a different tire store.
All my wheels use OE Buick centers and the completed wheel is checked with a digital gauge for runout.
