Got a PM requesting some info and pics on the Skylark. Work and family have been super busy and I haven't yet had time to finish the alignment and double check all fastener torques. I need to get this thing buttoned up so I can then give her a proper thrashing up in the Lake Berryessa Canyon area.

    Here is a "Before" Video.

I think I started collecting these parts close to 3 years ago. No way the wife lets that happen in one lump sum.

Awesome set-up, SC&C knows their stuff. It'll handle awesome. Nice to see a pro-touring Buick with a great stance. I'll be doing my 70 soon with ridetech suspension.

Chris, a recent thread brought this some attention. Did your rear wheel/tire combo fit without any modifications? It looks great!

Yeah.. I know what you mean. Took me 13 years of part scrounging and selling the KZ1300 and all my extra computer parts to get my car on the road last year.

That is a really cool car! When I get back from the 'stan, I am doing that to my car... thanks for the inspiration! Did you convert the car to a manual...

Hey Chris, just for piece of mind, you're going to keep her looking totally stock, aren't you? I just love how aside of the stance and the wheels/tires that she looks like she's a well taken care of driver. :TU:

That's quite the hefty front sway bar, isn't it? It's not tubular, it's solid! Same one I have on my car.

That is your video? I always show that to all my nonbeliever friends when they think these cars are heavy and gutless:Dou:

Awesome car and I love seeing Pro-tour Buicks:beer

    I'M SO LAME!
I haven't logged on in months (9?). Work didn't slow down at all (50-60hr weeks), a blessing these days, and the family fun never ends. My wife ROCKS!

Matt: No mods to the rear...yet, but I haven't pushed this thing in the corners. I have had the car full (6) of PeeWee football players and their gear, a bunch of times, with no rubbing.
The front needs one fenderwell bolt switched to Button Head...maybe. After driving the thing all summer the springs and everything have settled and the left front is a 1/2" too low. If I hit a bump while at full steering lock the left front touches the bolt.

KFD: I did switch the car to manual. I helped a buddy put a 5-Speed in his '68 Firebird and he gave me his M20. I rebuilt it and put in an M22 gear set...It sounds so cool.

Steven: Before I can thrash out an "After" video I need to add a 1/4" shim under the left front spring. I just can't seem to find time to pull the suspension apart.

Phil: The car was a Survivor when I got it. I added the 455/M22/12 Bolt and suspension goodies but everything else is original. It's in great shape but the rear window leaks so it can't come out in the rain. I would love to paint it and put on a new vinyl top but I can even find time to back it out of the garage.

Sean: More pictures of suspension? Anything in particular you want?

John: Actually both sway bars are tubular. I was shocked at how light weight that front bar was when I picked it up.

Leon: That is my video. I have more footage that I may post from inside the car. After the burnout I drive over the marks...they are really long and you can hear the M22...sweet music!

I wish you luck with your project and I am excited to see the results. I recently made the audio from that video my ringtone, I hope there is no copyright:beers2:
