Hello my name is Ryan I'm in Reno NV area I just bought a 1970 estate wagon (I pick it up in a few weeks) know next to nothing about these cars or Buicks this is my first V8 mainly have had fast 4s lol my other car is a Mitsubishi evo 9 that's runs mid 9s in the 1/4. I look forward to learning from you all and if there anything I need to know please let me know lol especially like what other model parts will fit on this cause it's hard to find stuff for the estate wagon it seems or I'm looking in the wrong spots I'll try to get some pictures to post up Thanks
welcome, get a 1970 Chassis Manual. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=1970+Buick+chassis+Manual&_sacat=0
Welcome from Montana, Ryan! 9s is dang fast, I don't care what kind of car it is........ You're in the right place. Be sure to post up pics of your car as soon as it shows up.
Well i tried to post some pics but my phone won't let me I will this weekend I believe the owner said he has an original chassis manual if not I'll pick one up for sure I'm flying out to pick up the car on the 23 I think and going to try and drive it back to my place which is about a 7 hour drive Another thing is this is my first automatic car so that's fun so I'll need to learn all bout the converter and stall stuff lol Never been a big muscle car guy but have always loved big wagons and this is about as big as you can get. I have a feeling that this car is going to change how I fell bout v8s
Welcome! You’ve bought almost the complete opposite of what you’re used to, and that should be fun. I think you’ll enjoy 510 ft/lbs of torque at 2800 rpm. Even in a cargo vessel like the wagon you’ll come to be impressed by an engine that gets everything done while staying in the little numbers of the tach, with only three gears! Patrick
Ok I think I got pics to work maybe lol here is some I pulled off the add and one of my race car and it's Dyno chart lol it has more torque than the big block but at double the rpm
