Looks great! I am considering installing 275/60R15 rears on 15X8 with 4.5"BS, and 235/70R15 on 15X7 (not sure of backspace) on a '72 GS. Will that work?
Hmm..235/60R15 is about 26" tall, 275/60R15 is about 28" tall. Not too much rake? (used to love the "jacked up" look, now I like level much better).
I guess I should have mentioned I want a taller tire, as I have 373 rear gears, and the 275/60R15 rear and 235/70R15 front combo is 28
This is 245-60 15's sits good only thing is the common Buick problem to small for the rear smoke show from a roll bad
That looks impressive. I've been looking for an aftermarket five-spoke wheel similar to that at 4WheelOnline. Great combo though.
OK. Here is my GS455 as it came off the trailer with the combo I think you want. 275/60 x 15 rear and 245/60 x 15 front. The 245 is the correct diameter if you want to mimic the 26.5 in. diameter of the original G60 Poliglas tires. Just a slight rake and you'll have about a 3.55 final ratio. (I've since changed the rears to 15 x 8 rims with 295/50 x 15 tires which are the same diameter as the 245/60 x 15s in the front. Rake gone. If you want just a bit more rake, you can go with the 235/60 in the front as others have suggested.
