with 245x60 rear and 225x60 front will these fit my GS? That is question 1.

My original rims from Buick were 14x6 and ran 225-75-14.
Also looks to me like 4.25 backspace on OEM vs 4.5 on Coker....

I assume I am better off with the 8 inch rim to fit the 245x60 but am I correct or should I be going with the 15x7? This is question 2

Sorry to ask such newbie question but its a lot of money and I want to be sure before I pull the trigger.

    Thanks!

245/60/15 is fine on a 15x7. Factory GSX and optional GS tire/wheel combo was G60-15, which is actually a little bit wider than, but crosses to, 245/60. In my opinion, 255/60 should be on 8” wide rims.

Wider wheels have no draw backs, more support for the sidewalls. Why would you run a 225/60 in front though? I would run 245 all around. That will fit fine.

255/60 all around on 15x7 is perfect. The drawback to 15x8 on the front is it adds unsprung weight and makes the car feel like a dump truck.

245R60 all around on 15x7 OR 255R60 all around on 15x7 is okay. I have 245R60 all around on my '72 GS.

I've had 255/60 all around on mine with a 15x7 factory wheel and I think the looks is better. ( on both 70 & 72 GS's on my avatar and now on the 73).
