No fast idle on my Holley 750 Vacuum

I have a Holley 750 vacuum secondary, electric choke, square bore 4160c carb with p/n 80508S. It has a red plastic fast idle cam, but no linkage/adjustment screw to actually make the carb "fast idle". I took the adjustment screw/linkage piece of my mid 80s model 3310-2 750 vacuum carb, but it did not fit (neither did the rear metering block,by the way). The carb runs fine when warm, and the electric choke closes when cold, and gradually opens as would expect. But, I have to keep my foot on the gas for about a minute or three before it will idle by itself. Anyone know what part number I need to order to have a working fast idle?
Also, I would love to be able to ditch the rear metering plate, and replace it with a metering block, but the main body does not have the recess to accept a power valve. Anyone know of a part number for a rear metering kit?

Jeff, There should be a fast idle lever and adjustment screw mounted to the end of the primary throttle shaft. If it or the screw is missing the fast idle will not work. PM me with your address and I will get one out to you. The rear metering block conversion kit is P/N 34-13s
    Thanks, Mike

    Mike,
Thanks for the info! I emailed Holley tech suppport about this a few days ago. They responded with the info about the rear metering block, which I am about to order from Summit or JEGS. After a few emails back and forth, we figured out that the fast idle screw/lever was just left off the carb during manufacture, so they are supposed to be sending me one. The person at Holley I've been corresponding with is Tom R. Kise. Related, I assume?
