Not Buick related, but any muscle car guy just must love these.

OK, I am NOT a Ford guy, in fact I only recently bought a Crown Vic off my nephew to help him out. CHEAP. I'll have more in the tires and wheels on it than I paid. (Jason, your influence is strong!).
    Back to the point...

First is a cool parody of the original scene, but get this... The driver of the Mustang is Molly McQueen.
Second is the ORIGINAL Mustang used in "BULLITT', and you guessed it, That is Molly again. I'm not going to spoil it any more. Watch for yourselves.

    IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I just clicked the video without reading the description and when I realized a little ways through they were recreating the chase scene I really started to crack a smile. Then at the end it dawned on me who the bullitt driver was and I was just over the moon!

Needless to say I quickly clicked the second video to see her interaction with the real car. It was surreal seeing her sit in the same car that Steve drove, kinda like some link through time thing. I wish she would have drove it, but it was still awesome when she started it.. kinda like ol gramps was there talkin to her.

My wife says I'm a hopeless romantic... I still dont see it lol

I saw the parody a couple months back but this was the first time I've seen the reveal.

Molly is a smokeshow. The car is pretty cool as well.

    :D

Awesome! I guess the Beetle is an homage to the one passed in the original chase.

My neighbor has a 67 Rustang (he said its the worst pile of **** he ever bought) and last winter he had the motor out and redid the steering/suspension. I compared the suspension & steering systems between his Rustang & my 63 Skylark. Both cars are unibody and built similar. But wow what a huge difference in quality & engineering. The Skylark wins hands down.

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

Pretty sweet they got to use a black Charger in a Ford promotion. Wouldn't have been nearly as cool otherwise. Thanks for sharing :)

I've always wondered why Dodge/Chrysler never did a Bullitt Charger tribute. Maybe they were afraid it would do a suicide dive into gas stations. Whatever the reason, you've got to think that they're really missing a huge opportunity.

You have to be a "Bullitt" geek to get subtle references in first vid. Second vid is icing...thanks for sharing.

Funny...A couple of things I had not noticed before, but after re-watching the original chase scene, I noticed that the license plates on the Charger and Bullitt cars are the same as in the movie (JJZ 109 for Bullitt's Mustang; and RDR 838 for the bad guys' Charger)... And notice how many cars in the parking garage are FORD products. I only recall the VW bug as being the only other non Ford beside the "bad guys" Charger.
