Hey MODS (!!) cant you guys put "todays birthdays" back on the home page??? When you changed forum providers that optioned was dropped. I MISS IT! Man up. Take the initiative! If the person doesnt want it shown (pansies!) have a MYOB box to check. One or the other on the profiles. And posters'; howz about your location? Its really helpful for parts responses and just knowing how far reaching the brotherhood is. Gotta problem with that? Go FISH or buy a Mutchabutchie! LOL... Rant over. ws
I like the idea of the location; You never know who might be able to help you, just might be in the next town, or a neighbor !
Mods have no control over issues like the Board’s page layout. You would need to make your case to the administrator (Mike Bucy) or the owner, JW.
Members can control if they choose to list their location. Click on my avitar and you will see I have chosen to list "Central Ohio" as my location.
It’s easy to add your location to your signature. I met some members that way when they passed through the area.
So many guys, past and present "breeze" through the info page when they are joining here that they dont realize 10 years later that the info is non existent. A few years ago when this place switched to XenForo as a host, "Today's Birthdays" went away. More than likely an oversight on the owners part (JW) than intentional I'm sure. I know that some of the info pages contain birthdays (some just ages), but that wont bring it up automatically next to "Current users On-Line" etc. You almost need to know its the guys birthday. Its stupid, I know, but still nice to get a personal greeting, even if only from virtual friends! Ever not get a valentines day card in 3rd grade? BooHoo! If your a secret agent, then check the MYOB box. Simple. You wont get an HBD wish from me! Felix Natalis. ws
