Hello, looks like I'm joining the club. 1968 GS 400 convertible. Anyone in the Long Island area gave any good general mechanics for our rides?

There are plenty of Buick guys on Long Island. The head Buick guy is Bruno (a.k.a. "The King"). He is in Hicksville. There are other cruise meets during the week. One nice one is Oyster Bay on Tuesday. I'm usually there if the weather is nice. Join the N.E. GS/GN club(we are on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Northeast-GSGN-Club-Inc/102546383113745). John Csordas is the director. He works in the Auto shop in the former Readers Digest compound up in Chappaqua, N.Y. John is an excellent mechanic, and as you would guess, well versed in all Buicks:grin:. Send me an e mail to the address in my signature and I will send you an application.

Well, looks like I already need a mechanic. The car will not hold a charge. BUT, I have not driven it, so there's a draw somewhere. I have no time whatsoever to do this. Any one have a shop?

If you don't mind taking a ride up to Chappaqua, John can diagnose it for you. Let me know, I can give you directions up there. John is usually there Saturdays, but tomorrow is the Buick event at Lebanon Valley Raceway, so no go. I'm sure John can help you during the week though. If you aren't doing anything tomorrow, come to Lebanon. Should be a great day of Buick racing. I'm driving up tomorrow to spectate. I'm in northeastern Queens.

I'd love to come up. Tomorrow is no good for me either, work and more work, grrrr. But I can later on. Def throw me his address, and number. Wouldn't want to just surprise him. Thx.

I work in northern queens by the way. Where are you?

Jason. I need a good mechanic you know a guy? I freshened up the 455 motor that I bought and it just runs rough. I don't know what to do at this point to get it run right. I am in West hempstead.

Shawn, if you can get it up to John Csordas in Chappaqua, he will get it running correctly, or tell you what is wrong.

If you don't want to drive it to Westchester, my friend run a shop in Deer Park that specializes in older cars. You'll have to drop it off though
