I am changing the break in oil and find out I don't have enough clearance with the frame to get the oil filter off without cutting it off. has anyone else had this problem ? What alternative filter do you use to get around this problem. I'm using a Wix 51258 filter. Is the 350 filter shorter ? Thanks for any help. My 470 is in a 1985 Regal. Roger

    Hey, Roger.

Maybe this link can help you; and YES I have had the same issue with my 1987 Stage-1 Buick 455 Regal.

Thank you so much Stage 2. You are my hero and have saved my head from my wife's wrath. Any more money goes into my Regal over and above an oil filter and I'm toast. Roger

... It was all No_Lift, Roger LOL. :TU::TU:

That guy MADE MY LIFE/455 Buick Regal oil changes/FILTER EASIER.

This is the Buick 455-powered Trans Am No_Lift owned; had the shorty Buick V6 Oil Filter he recommended to me during my ISSUES with that.
My friend Tyrone Taylor saw these photos one day, and told me, "That FN Trans Am ran HARD!!!" It was Pontiac-Day at Englishtown a few years back. Tyrone is a Pontiac-Guy ... when he saw the BLACK engine ... he didn't care much ... when he saw the DISTRIBUTOR up-front-tilted-to-the-side ... Tyrone really got scared/impressed. LOL

I am HAPPY to have been some help. That's why I made soooo many videos for Youtube. LOL
