[Ok we had the boat thread], Now did anyone get their pool ready yet?

    How much did you spend to notice a difference?

    It was about $300 total. Found the best price on-line and made the stand for it out of PVC tubing. It keeps the pool about 8 degrees warmer and around here that makes a huge difference.

    It was hot! Half the fam was in - but the other half including me was up backpacking near Kirkwood. So I'm waiting for some cash! :dollar:

    Been swimming for a month now but we have had 3-4 weeks of triple digit temps.Had our first pool party last weekend and looking forward to using this weekend.

    That building in the background was built in 1927 and has the wiring to prove it. This pool (140K gal. + wading pool) was built in '84 inside the original pool which was built in '27. The "old" pool held 300,000 gallons and had no filtration/circulation, only a continuous-feed of well-water in one end and an overflow tube on the other end. From what I've been told, no matter how hot West Texas got, the water was never over 65 degrees. :eek2:
