Yes. It a shame. People will let a old car rot into the ground before they will sell it.

TexasT Texas, where are you from

Just have to be in on the next of kin list. No one lives for ever. And most of those kids or aers have no interest in that iron the old man collected up. What is sad is when the parts are loaded into a dumpster and off to the metal recycling place.

Nothing like a “someday” car, as in “I’m gonna fix it up someday.”

Unless these things are being kept in the California desert, most of them are probably so filled with cancer as to make them worthless.

It's a total shame! I can understand guys not wanting to sell to "flippers" but if you know a buyer is genuinely interested and going to restore it (especially if he's been stopping in once a month for 10 years asking to buy the same car) just sell him the dam car! And let it live on instead of being selfish and watching it decay into the earth from which it once came. My uncle was forced to sell his 34 ford truck, itcwas his dream truck. He said to they guy " I want pics when it's done" five years later the guy kept his word and emailed my uncle pics of the truck. It was bitter sweet as he got to see it finally finished but was like tearing open a wound at the same time.
