I've got a couple texts from some people saying that I should create a new Tomahawk build thread. I will update this thread as I get more info. Scotty wanted to keep this build very basic. (off the shelf parts as he called it) We never messed with bigger carbs, jetting or different race fuels. So there's a lot we left on the table.
    I want to Thank:
Scotty's Racing Engines for the build and guidance thru this project. He's in Spring Hill, Florida Check him out on Facebook.
Precision Billet Inc. for building a Killer Dual Dominator custom manifold and for coming down to dyno day with me. We had a blast!
T/A performance for putting racing products out there so guys can go fast!
John Csordas for telling me when I was looking for a engine builder "I got just the guy you need".
To everybody else who kept me focused thru this build. I know there's a lot of you!
Bob Makley for use of chassis car headers for the dyno session.
So here's some info: I will post as I receive more information

    Build info:
T/A Aluminum block 3.25 mains and 54 mm cam tunnel standard deck height.
    Bore: 4.500 Diamond Pistons
    Stroke: 4.400 Billet Crank
Heads: Stage 4 T&D steel rocker set up (1st set made so if you have stage 4's it's now available thru T/A)
    Cam: Roller
Intake: Custom Dual Dominator Tunnel Ram
    Carb: 2 QFX 4711
    Fuel: C-16

I grew up in Brooklyn right near. Pee Gee so I know Scotty and his pops my entire adult life.

I built quite a few engines over the early years. Miss having him here though I have to say. Now his old wrencher Chris works right around the corner from my house and keeps me updated on all things Scotty lol!!!

Great #'s Congrats and I can't wait to see it in the car and running. Joe I grew up after moving from E. 56th and ClarendonRd in 1969 to Georgtowne 10 blocks from his house same schools, etc.. Remember his dads/his cars from way back. Small world as John Csordas hooked me up with him after so many years. Only man I will let build me a motor and he has done 5 for me already. Scotty is Da Man!!:3gears::Smarty:

    Frank,

Thank you for posting? Was this a dry sump? If yes, what oil pump? What vacuum were you able to pull? Another other vacuum devices?

I cannot wait to see this run! Any chance of it being at Norwalk this year?

    Thanks,

    John,
I'm using Peterson Wet/Vac pump. It pulled vacuum 11.9-14.6

    FYI....
That's not a breather....it's a vacuum pop off valve. If for any reason you would loose vacuum it will allow the crankcase to breath rather than create excessive pressure and blow out a seal or gasket.

Frank, what oil pan is on there?
