Let's start here and move up......... Moment of silence for this one. It was "drawn and quartered last month by a cannibal.
...and another moment of silence After much brow-beating by DaveH ..... my first car needs to go bye-bye ...... :ball: '74 Cutlass "S" - FREE
Here is mine just how I bought it from the original owner 18 years ago. I have owned alot of cars but this will never go ANYWHERE!
Hey Pat..i had a very simular Rally Red 70 W30 that i sold 3 years ago...I reallly regretted it since. I recently sold my 70 Stage1 GSX to hunt for another W machine, ive owned 4 of them over the years! Yours looks mint! If its a 4 speed...ive got a bag full of cash for ya! :Brow: :Brow: :Brow: Seriously though..any OLDS guys who know of a 70 W30 4 speed for sale...email me!
might as well jump in! No point in showing the trailer queens, they are already posted on 442.com. Here is the latest project, a 71 442 W-30 with 4 speed. Undergoing a"major" restoration. Target completiom April 2004
Update Same car ,picture taken June 2004. Still trying to determine if the "ski Rack" was a factory option.
Thar she blows! Ok, here is my current 69 Hurst Olds I trailed for nearly 20 years. It had disappeared from the home I had keep a vigil on for all that time and then I was informed it was to be painted and sold for 25 or 30K (about 5 years ago). Which my friends Dad knew I couldn't afford. After my Dad died I was talking to my friend (owner of the H/O's son) and giving him the news on my father. As we were getting ready to hang up I was making small talk about his current project cars and flippantly commented that I wish I had been able to get that Hurst Olds I missed 3 years prior when it went to the paint shop. My buddy goes "The Hurst Olds?" I was like "Yeh" "Oh, we still have it" Turns out there were some "issue's" at the paint shop which resulted in the H/O being "put out to pasture" behind the paint shop. This was the first photo on the day I rediscovered and bought it.
Just so you can see what a 69 Hurst wheel looks like almost restored, less the dog. All the lugs and inside slot trim are not installed in this pic, but I was pretty happy how well it came back.Only took two days off and on ou: (yes the backs are as clean as the front).
Future Casey, I mean Pure, Stock At least that's the current plan. Have toget off my ass on my '72 4dr first.
Oh yeah, the 4dr. Not sure why but its become a passion. Any color suggestions? Right now it's redish whitish grayish greenish blackish brown, the original factory color of course.
Olds question While all the Olds guys are amassed here. Can someone give me an idea what a complete 1970 W -30 motor would be worth? I have a chance to buy a spare for my Hurst Olds but I need to know what to offer. The man "wasn't real wild" about selling it, but said he might, so I may only get one chance to make an offer and don't want to tick him off. It is complete from the carb. to pan. Ok, gotta get to church, but I'll check back later. Thanks
My Olds is in too many pieces to post a picture, but I expect to see the shell finished before the winter. It is a Dark Blue with white stripped 70 442 Conv. Duane
One that I sold 5 years ago Numbers match 4 speed car from Ky. Actually had to restore it twice as it got tailended relly hard 2nd time out of the garage after the first frame on resto. Frame was OK, but body had to be completely changed to one we found in Tennessee. Did a complete frame off to the condition here. Sold soon after that to finance my daughter's first year at college (almost).
