That’s it! Very interesting read One of the interesting things the prosecutor did was during the trial was trying to convince the jury that Manson had complete control over the minds of the girls. That way even though Manson wasn’t at the killings he could be held responsible for them. but when it came to the penalty phase after they were all found guilty, in order to give the girls the death sentence he had to show that they did it of their own free will because they couldn’t give them a death sentence if they felt that they were under somebody else’s control
