Allright, whoever put the right front lift arm on the trans crossmember is fired! Are you nuts? That thing's only held in by a cheesy rubber mount that you just squished out.
Someone kicked the lift arm lol ---------- Post added at 09:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 PM ----------
At six feet over head I would like to think I am still quick enough to dive out of the way. The car would survive. After all the Dukes of Hazzard car survived 30 foot drops.
Here are some more pictures I forgot about. Check out the red/orange ID mark on the Break tube. This is often overlooked by restorers. The marks are about 1inch long and the second one is on the other side of the bens blocked by the other tube. The yellow and the black Id mark on the small line at the master are missing due to father time. Check out that rear end housing. Shows the orange inspection marks. The yellow N from the ON code is just visible. The O is blocked by the sway bar. This is great food for anyone doing a concourse resto.
White Overspray partially covered by undercoating. Also light blue date code inside air cleaner. Looks like March something of 70.
Front spoiler holes in core support. Front hole is for spoiler and back hole for brace. Some spoilers were different and required drilling the center brace. Not sure on the cut-off or when the change was made? Also check out the orange stripes on the brake hoses which I think are original. I will be adding them to my car.
Green paint on spindles is visible. Pink dot may barely be visible. Sway bar links are new....Remnants of gold plating are still visible on trans shift linkage.
The red/orange brake hose stripes...that's what I was talking about before in waltonj's thread. I think the stripe color was related to the DOT rating at the time. Somebody on ebay makes those and sells them for a ridiculous price. Thanks for the pics!
Frank, I can make them myself in 5 minutes with a paint pen. I just saved myself$$$$. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures of Herbs great time piece.
Is this a 10-10 car? I just assumed it was yellow... Just a note. My front spindles had bright yellow paint on them, but it is a aluminum drum brake car.
