That is not my car. The beautiful concours aqua mist GS455 convertible in the above picture belongs to Lynn and Paul Gawel (Paul455 on this board) who are from Harrisburg PA.

You really can't meet a nicer couple :beer

Consider coming to Yardley's picnic (which may be in June - there's currently a poll on this board to finalize the date) in Holland PA. You'll meet several great Buick people.

Ok, so could I do this; I have a body shop that I'm bringing the car to, can I get it painted at that place? Do some guys use two different shops?

Thanks :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer

Most, if not all body shops will not paint over someone elses body work. Mainly because they dont know what their painting over. Their repuatation is riding on each car they paint. If your talking about a paint job of the same quality that is on that Aquamist 70, your talking about many thousands of dollars.

Paul and Lynn have brought this to at least one of our N.E. Picnics and this whole car is so close to flawless. No matter how good it looks in pictures they can't do it justice.

Oh and they are down to earth real good folk too.

Lynn and Paul own a variety of Buicks.

At our recent picnics, I believe we've seen this 1970 GS once (Berwyn 2003), their 1987 GN twice (Duane's 2002 and Yardley's 2004), and their 2003 LeSabre once (Holmdel 2003).

    Another question.

If you do not put the vinyl top back on, about what % will your car's value decrease. Maroc, I think you'll be good at this. :TU: :3gears: :beer

It will only matter to the 'purists' - it's your car do what you want.

Anthony, You are welcome to stop by anytime. We are planning on going to Yardley's but I think we are going to take our 78 Turbo Regal. We are also planning on going to the GM Nationals (Carlisle) with the GS and Salem for the BPG Nationals again with the GS.
Your looks better than the GS did when we first started out, it just depends how far you are willing to go.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments!!

    Marco SEE YOU AT YARDLEYS!!!

Paul, I can not make it to Yardley's but will be at GM Nationals. Are you putting your car in the show(display- 65-75 Buick GS's)?
What day will you be going?
I'll let you know before I stop by. Thanks for the welcome. :TU:

Your 70 GS is a beauitful car. My car doesn't look to bad; I have a whole front end for it, and A roof I would need you to install. And a few holes in the rear quaters would need to be fixed. Hopefully will b able to get the car at a bodyshop, or yours by Aug. HOPEFULLY!
But like I said, I'll have to stop by. Thank YOU!!!! :3gears: :beer
