    STAGE-2 TORQUE STAGE-1 Buick "494Stroker" in 2021

" ... I LOVE THE MSD6AL-2. I found a bunch of info/videos regarding the installation, functions, and how to use it.:TU: I can't wait to install it (red circle ... I plan on adding an aluminum plate floor-bolted behind the plastic panel so when I bolt up the MSD, it has real support), and trash the (white arrowed items) busted-Pontiac steering wheel and the factory busted-shifter to my TCI Street Fighter Shifter, and custom 1984 Buick T-type steering wheel.:TU:"

I will NOT be PLAYING-GAMES with the 2-step like those dudes in the youtube videos ... The Import-Guys.:Do No:

... I FOUND A GRIFFIN RADIATOR FOR $379 direct from Griffin!
The CORE WIDTH (why I screwed-up with the Summit radiator) is 28" ... and my Derale dual electric 4,000-cfm pullers measure in at 28-1/2" overall width!!!:TU:

In my past 455Regals, I used the original '74 Buick Electra 455 radiator in them ... till it ruptured.

The 1/2" reduction in the Derale's fan shrouds (where the fans connect) is going to be a piece of cake ... opposed to my original plan with the Be Cool 27" core width radiator (Summit sells for $499) which entailed removing 2-1/4" total (from where both Derale's are to snap/connect together) and fabricating a "dam" in between both fans, to prevent fan/air turbulence (due to the 1/4" space between the actual fans).:TU:

    MORE CORE WIDTH with the Griffin (#8-70008)... FOR $120 LESS:beer. You-Know-The-Drill; "Next-Pay-Day."

The Summit-brand 26-1/4" core width (no drain plug) radiator gets returned this weekend.:TU:

    STAGE-2 TORQUE STAGE-1 Buick "494Stroker" in 2021

    ... My Russell Pro-Flex hoses came today:grin:.

The tranny & fuel lines are now Braided Stainless Steel -8 all the way, except from the fuel pump to the carb ... which is braided stainless steel 3/8" ... with extra necessary hose ends and fittings (I purchased the Spectre inline fuel filter that took a 3/8" line @ 2-months ago).

There is one pic attached that shows the (2) aluminum 3/8" and 1/2" 25-ft coils in the box the Russell Pro-Flex braided stainless steel lines came in today .... that gets sent back to Summit in this weekend.

... JUST NEED MY DARN MOTOR FROM D&S.
(as the last pic clearly dictates ... alot of the parts I have are in the boxes BEHIND the 5"-Tach and Turbo Regal steering wheel) lol.

    So-Far-So-Good.:3gears:

... Spoke to the auto electrician today (they located/fixed the problem I had a couple of years ago with the turn switch in the steering column that caused the Regal to shut off when I made RIGHT TURNS).

They are installing my MSD6AL-2 "correctly" for $125.
Hey, I get to SLEEP-LIKE-A-BABY regarding worries of an electrical FIRE in the future :TU::Smarty: .

    MSD6AL-2 "2-step toggle switch & cover"

... bought (attached pic) from local auto parts store on lunch-hour today. It is going to be mounted @ 5-inches in back of the TCI street-fighter shifter (near where the stock cigarette ash tray would have been ... I am replacing the stock PLASTIC floor column shifter plate with a custom aluminum plate).:TU:

... Just a lil' something to keep my mind/anger off D&S.:TU:

THE $255.95 TOTAL WAS FOR THE MSD6AL-2 that I now have.
Sorry for the wrong info earlier in my posting.:TU:

... bought a Heavy-Duty Marine 25 Amp 12V toggle switch with ground wire connector today on lunch hour. The "Buick455-red" switch cover remains, as the toggle switch in the FIRST pic goes to my tool box.

... just came up with this idea for my Regal-455 (pic attached).:Smarty:

I want the shifter to be mounted strong enough for me to KICK the shifts by foot if I want to. :TU:

... as EXCHANGE for both the Summit 3/8" fuel lines (2) and 1/2" (1) tranny cooler aluminum 25-ft coils, I am going to get this (attachment & link). :TU:

I can't believe my stock '74 Buick 455 H.E.I. will ACTUALLY be upgraded by the engine-builder; Hell, I ain't heard from him YET regarding my getting my darn motor!

...The Summit aluminum radiator (core width too narrow for the dual Derale electric fans) will be EXCHANGED for a Powermaster 100-amp alternator ($141.95) and Painless Wiring ($24.95) alternator wiring harness for use with alternators over 65-amps.

The Powermaster alternator is for a V6-231 Buick motor ... since I plan on buying the Buick 231 V6 alternator, A/C compressor, and brackets for A/C on my Stage-1 Regal.
    SO-FAR-SO-GOOD.:3gears:

    May 20th, 2010 UPDATE:

... spoke to John this morning (the gentleman I am buying the Buick V6 a/c compressor, alternator, and brackets from for my Stage-1 Regal), and he informed me that there is NO need to purchase a new alternator ... his is fine. However, I will purchase the Painless Wiring ($24.95) alternator wiring harness for use with alternators over 65-amps, anyway.

In closing, I will now put the $159 Summit radiator return money towards the $379 Griffin Dominator aluminum radiator.

    SO-FAR-SO-GOOD.

I'm in need of some HELP. I need an adapter to connect (1/2" stainless steel fuel line) Earl's 3/8" tube adapter to Russell's 1/2" hose end connector.

    I tried Summit & Jeg's.

    Thanks much.:TU:

    May 20th, 2010 ... TIS-DONE!!!

Went to 6-different plumbing shops, hardware stores, and auto parts shops this morning ... Just pieced-together my ADAPTER for 3/8" fuel hard-line into -8 braided stainless steel hose!!!:)
...Just need my MOTOR from D&S now!

    ... Ordered from TA Performance 15-minutes ago.:TU:

The Griffin Dominator radiator gets ordered in June (after vacation trip):TU:.
The radiator is the LAST part needed (and D&S 455 Buick V8)to legally/safely drive the Regal anywhere I so desire.:TU:

... I feel it in my BONES; I get my "Built-455" veeeery soon.:bglasses:

This came a few hours ago. I did an exchange for it with Summit's 3/8" and 1/2" aluminum coils for fuel & tranny cooler lines. I figured this would be better with the MSD6AL-2 box opposed to the stock unit:idea2:.

LOL Devon, I suffer from OCD on Axis-2. Only God, Me, and my ex-therapist Dr. Barbara Leff understands my "concern" ... or OBSESSION with detail.:TU: lol.

Mr. Cotton of Cottons Performance asked me 2-years back, am I an engineer. He stated that my obsession with detain (regarding my 1984 Buick T-type 10-bolt posi rear at the time) is like his son's ... who is a mechanical engineer. Mr. Cotton went on to say, you engineers always want to know every-single detail of things."

I simply wanted to hear/see the 6AL-2 (2-step rev limiter) used on a Buick Regal based platform.:TU:

Guess who just called me ...?:beers2: 25-seconds ago???

    OCD sucks ... sometimes. lollll
