Well, it's essentially a motor and some trim, there isn't much else left on that car. It's got a typical Canadian options load; - a radio and a heater, nothing else. Oh yeah, it has tilt, and that column is 68 only, so unique. So at current exchange, it's about $720 US, so around salvage. It's located about 2 hours south of where I'm at.

I need that rear seat desperately!!! It matches my front seats. I would love the tilt column out of it as well. I will try to get in touch with him.

I just sent him an email. Thanks for the detective work Marc:)

He would do better to part it out, its past a resto I think! 68 Wildcat there's always shippers on kijiji posting ads about their hauling services across Canada. Maybe you could catch a guy going out west to get a fresh load of "farm trucks" a.k.a. "rat rods" and bring the parts back with him for a small fee? There was a guy running out of Belville, ON not long ago he would be close to you to pick up from unless you know someone in Quebec that runs out west?

I know people in Olds and Cremona Alberta about 1 1/2 hr's away that could remove what i want. I made him an offer for the interior parts and column. Waiting to hear back.

Oh well that works out pretty good then! Hopefully he decides to work with you and sell the parts. Let me know how you make out.

It's not a direct bolt up to a 67 Full Size. The signal light switch is different and will not work in the 67. They are two totally different part numbers, and the interchange book doesn't claim they're compatible. I looked into it years ago and there was one other reason that I can't remember as to why they don't match up. Could be that the dash dimensions were different, or the mount. I knew 67 was closer to 66, and 68 was closer to 69, but without the column mounted ignition switch and lock, which makes it a one year only item.

I visited a guy for parts in Ontario and he had a 67 Wildcat. In 68 the dash changes completely to the type used until 70 more or less. They did move the heater controls and radio around after 68 and as you said, the Ign. switch went on the column in 69. So that column is a one year only item.

Just finished texting the guy and made a deal for the car. It's being towed to a buddies house not far from where it is. I will fly down in the spring and remove the interior and whatever else looks good and have a 4 day drive home in a rental van. That last part sucks. Thanks again 69 Rivi for spotting the ad.

    Good for you Gary!
If you end up in Edmonton maybe we can get together for a beer...

That would be nice Marc, but I'm planning just a hit and run. If the bumpers aren't better than mine, I'll bundle up the parts and ship it all home instead. I never thought I'd ever find a 68 Custom interior in Black to match my redone buckets! The tilt wheel is bonus. It will look so much nicer than the standard interior I have now.

Oh awesome Gary! I'm glad I could help out! You should post the powertrain parts for sale and recoup some of your costs. If you ever spot a 69 Riv for parts let me know!

    Cheers, Bob

Hey Gary I just got thinking depending on what rear end is in that car and the gear ratio I may be interested in the gears and carrier. If you pulled them out and brought them back with you I can meet you somewhere along your way home and buy them off you.

Driving home with the parts would likely only happen if the bumpers etc. are better than mine, otherwise, I would pallet the stuff and get it shipped. Either way, When I take possession of the car, I can get you the serial # and you could probably find out what's in the car. More than likely, some kind of posi. I will be somewhat limited by the tools that my buddy has and working in a field.

Ok Gary that would be great please let me know. I think just a basic socket set to remove bolts is all that is required to remove the gears and carrier. I will look into that.

The pinion would be the most difficult part to remove. Big breaker bar, socket and large pipe wrench to hold flange.

I'm not doing that on my back in a field. On a hoist with air tools no prob.
