I don't blame you Gary! If you send me the info once to take possession I'll look into it to see if it's even worth anyone's bother to pull the rear out. And then we can go from there.

I just copied it from the email he sent me late last night. I've never posted a pic like that before and that may be the reason it's not showing up. Computer Luddite.

Just checked and it won't open on my ipad as well. Hope this will do...

"Picture a rusted out 68 Wildcat, 2 Dr, sitting in a field with other cars in the background. It's up to it's ankles in snow and it's prairie winter dark out, illuminated only by the big spots mounted on the back of the flat deck tow truck. Typical Canadian winter scene.:p

Gotta love Canadian winters lol! Does your buddy part out cars or just store them in his field?

No, he just doesn't ever throw anything away. It's mostly V.W. stuff anyway and he's kind've a car hoarder. Just got off the phone with him and have the vin...#466878y144272 Built in Wilmington Delaware

Oh ok, it's because of guys like him that we have parts cars still available today! If he takes a pic of the cowl tag it has all the options codes on it that will probably tell what it came with. I'll PM you my email so he or you can forward me that info if he's up to taking the time to take a pic that is.

Here's the cowl tag and some pics. Interior door cards look to be great except drivers shedding the carpet. Bonus, dash may be intact as well. Windows have a heavy green tint. Cowl tag parts buick.jpg

Upon further research I was wrong Gary the axle code is stamped on the passenger side axle tube about 3"- 5" away from the diff case/ "pumpkin" and NOT found on the cowl tag, my apologies. I highly doubt your friend feels like sliding under the rear of the car in a foot of snow to look for it lol. The interior of that car looks to be in pretty decent shape! There's probably alot of salvageable parts on that thing still.

I would be interested in the motor and trans if they were in the US and good. Wrong side of the border for me

No Problem, I'm very new to this and there is always learning involved. Unless it has the best diff Buick ever made in it, I doubt I'll be crawling under it in the Spring tho. (other than checking the number)

I'm fairly new to decifering these cars/parts too lol! I don't blame you either. If you or your friend change your mind and decides to slide under there please let me know.

It's kinda far for me too, but at least on this side of the border. Was running when parked, distributor has been stolen out of it now.

It also has a nice rare 8 track unit in there, and it looks correct for the year. Good score!

Now I have matching bookends! My driver Wildcat (also from Alberta, must be a prairie thing) has the same 8 track player. They both also have cruise.

Nice! Yeah, in 68 there was only one real music station in the Edmonton area, the rest was either "easy listening" or Goat-roping music, so you had to have a tape player for those long distances. Everyone I knew had huge 8-track collections, I'm currently sitting on 300 of them now. I even have "Inagoddaveda" by Iron Butterfly somewhere...

I would be interested in a few parts as well when you go, specifically the tail lamps and some trim, and a good dash pad.

One tail light has a hole, (according to my buddy) other is o.k. I need the wheel opening trim and chrome rectangle for the left front fender , the rear bumper and the left eyebrow trim. The rest is available. The interior is not available. I will post in the Spring when I go to Calgary.

I would be interested in the plastic for the grille & the placard for the cruise control which (says cruise) also has (I think) the w/s/wiper.
