Very real. That is the exact reason why I put on a catch can AND modified the PcV/ clean side on my wife's '14 DI twin turbo Explorer Sport. It is scary how much the can catches that would normally collect in the IC.
There is an informative, detailed article about the Wagner adjustable pcv valve by Ray Bohacz in the January Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine.Bohaccz remarks that "...as someone who struggled with PCV tuning issues for years,I can say with confidence that it is a worthy investment for a muscle car engine, even a stock one, offering an end to ventilation-related oil leaks, dirty engines and poor driveability once and for all". It seems that there is a tangible upside.I am interested in participating in a group order. Thanks! Archie
I just purchased one of the pcv valves for my GS. I look forward to this. I have spent a good amount of money lately on carburetors(disappointingly). I look forward to see how this will help with tuning. The site is interesting and a lot of testimony across the net on success with the Me Wagner pcv.
I received my new dual flow pcv today. I look forward to experimenting with it. I also plan to get out a qjet that gave me best performance. 1970 GS350 factory replacement and getting parts for it from cliff ruggles and see if I can get it back where it was. Only other thing I can think of is my old points distributor converted with crane electric kit that always worked great. I have an msd distributor/no vac advance and 6al box I also plan on removing in experimental mode so I can get back vac advance. Hoping all turns out well and I get car better than it’s been. Will return with my findings as time allows to tune.
