I have been reading a ton of posts around, and trying to learn as much as I can before I get too far into parts, etc.

I ordered a T/A 4 barrel intake the other day to get away from the 2 barrel ( can't imagine staying with a 2 barrel on a "muscle" car). Anyhow, I have a Edelbrock #1406 600 CFM already, but was wondering if anyone knows if it will be comaptible in a 71 350? Would I be better off trying to get a Q-jet? I believe the Edelbrock p/n is for a Ford, but wasnt sure if it would work here or not. Electric choke on it as well.

    Thanks for the info :)

The Edelbrock is a little small for what you will like. But it will work. I had a 600cfm (the same one you have) on my 71 350 for 4 years, but I later changed over to a qjet. If you go with the Qjet carb, then call TA back and order a $20 choke kit for the aluminum intake. You will have to make your own linkage rod though. It's very simple. If you go with an Edelbrock, buy a 750cfm. That is what the stock Qjet size is on a 350.
