I saw a good bit of the racing there today until a camaro blew its cookies all over over the right lane during a high speed pass. He laid down some engine juice from about the mid point to just past the finish line. It took an hour to clean up the mess. Gesslar was winning his races but had several to go. Dudek said yesterday he ran a 10.76 at 132-133 mph. That time will be a winner if he keeps it up. I think Gesslar had a best run of around 11.2 at 120+ mph.

I saw a 55 Chevy that made a 154 mph pass. Pretty impressive for a car about an aerodynamic as a manhole cover. He had a set up of 1200 hp at the rear tires but went to a smaller blower and was now only laying down 950-1000hp to the rear tires.

I saw two trans ams running over 180 mph during a 7.4 second pass. One of those guys told me his engine dynoed at 1169hp.

No Buick 455 can live to tell about making that kind of power.

It was live on www.yourwaynetwork.com. Thanks to Donny Brass, I watched Dudek beat Hodges, JJ beat Peter and Rapid Ralph run a solo.

I saw the cameras. I saw Gesslar beat the white COPO first run. Those black 440 Road Runners are quick too.

Of note; I saw Copo Pete lay down a beautiful pass during the Sat. am. qualifying rounds. 11.68!! It was impressive! JJ was running like a striped a$$ ape too. I think we had 30 cars total.

I have seen him run and you might be correct about that but he has a one off job by TA. These guys at Petersburg were running aftermarket stuff readily available. Rod is runiing about where the best of them were yesterday--lower 7s.

The nephew of the guy I was with is having another GM aftermarket block built (about 800 cid) It made 2200 hp with the sister engine and the F body it was in ran over 200 mph in the quarter. I am just saying the current Buick 455 limit is around 800-900 hp. Rod may be the only exception and I sure stand corrected about that.

Buicks will catch up a lot with the new TA block coming.

Dudek won the VMP FAST with a 10.77. No one I saw appeared to have anything for his Hemi GTX. 416 CFM thru the intake port and 285 CFM thru the exhaust port! making 615 hp at the rear wheels.

If you listened closely you could hear us in the stands laughing about the announcer.
