Nice car - I don't think you are going to get too many positive comments seeing yours isn't Buick powered. I'll bet you don't get too many looks at the track untill you make a pass! What kind of combo are you running?? Any more pic's??
10.83 @ 123? Very good for a chevy. Imagine if only you had some real torque and were 100 lbs lighter! :Brow: What did you do for suspension?
These People that But Chevys in there Buicks that get on these Page are Killing me. Is this a Buick Board or a Chevy Board? Last i Checked it was a Buick Board
for suspension it has , up front stock replacement v8 springs (moog) w/comp drag shocks set at 90/10 ,urathane bushings rear has UMI Performance tubular upper and lowers , moroso trick springs,w/right side air bag ,comp shocks set at 50/50
Hey Guys, Just chill. To each their own. A Chevy isn't my preference either, and admittedly, a 10.83 with a Buick block would be way cooler, but he's still waaay faster than my car will ever be. Guys, both of your Regals look clean! :TU:
Well the name of this paticular forum is.... "V8 BUICK POWERED Regals" I guess some folks just overlook that or don't fully understand it's quite plainly stated meaning. o No: :error: I believe this forum's intentions are to attempt to correct GM's flaw of following both Ford's & Chrysler's way of thinking in "Corporate engines". Both the Blue Oval and the Penstar used engines that went "across the board" be it Ford, Mercury or Lincoln & Chrysler, Dodge or Plymouth. GM just had to play that game and now (and for going on several decades) has their "corporate V8 engine's" AKA...Shivvie.... ou: ou: ou: GM's divisions have long lost their "individualism"...what's under the hood being THE most important thing IMHO. :blast: :boring:
wHAT HOOD Hey 86Regal455 oops I meant 86Regal454 where did you get the hood and how many inches is the cowl. Im trying to decide on one for my 86 regal 455 project. Also how was the fit? Did it require much work? Also is it a latching or a pin front? :bglasses:
Buick Rules No worries chevy man,We would say the same thing even if you put a Ford 460 in your regal.
No offense taken, but I'll try and explain this as polite as possible. What you wrote above is the very reason why Buick guys always get ticked. 99% of the world doesn't recognize that Buick built their own engines. Hence when a Buick guy goes to the run of the mill parts store and he asks for a gasket set for a 350.....he gets a Chevy 350 gasket set. When we go out on a sunday night to the drive-in movie theater in our Skylark, the ticket girls says "Nice Chevelle!" When we go to the car cruise with our Apollo it gets judged as a Nova. Its a GM it must be the same as a Chevy. This forum is very small on an extremely small board and it is the only place in the internet universe that is dedicated to talking about V8 Buicks in a Regal. Its a small following, but the guys are very loyal to the following. Hence when we need info about Buick problems we don't want to sift through a bunch of Chevy posts, which appear here all the time.
i have to admit, my 84 went from a v6, to a 305 chevy, to a 350 chevy, to now a 455, and all though it is the most fun now, i loved the car just as much with all the other power plants. yes our whole board is dedicated to v8 buicks, but the guy has a really nice car even with the chevy it. i give him credit for owning my favorite car, thats why i own 3. long live the regal :TU:
