I'm probably years away from doing this but what the hell. The career center is going to prep and prime my fenders, deck lid, and fiberglass hood for paint. The plan is to some day paint the car white and probably replace the vinyl top with a black one (Not sure what kind off hell I will find under the current top).
I Like the idea of a flat black or semi gloss hood on a white car. The hood has a stage 2 scoop which may go white. If the top is ok I not replace the vinyl.

Dave I will Get Pictures posted for you in a day or (2) My 72 Stage1 is White. And I also have a Stage 2 scoop on a Flat black hood for a change up! I think you'll like! I would not have it any other way. White is TIMELY. Unlike metallic colors never gets old.

I suggest a flat black top or something like that. vinyl is hell on a car roof.

Man that is a pretty car! Do you race it? What are the times?

The top flat black paint? Not vinyl? I'm not sure if I have seen that. I might like it. I love the murdered look I just don't want to maintain it.

I have always thought of this car as one of the most handsome 70-72 GS's on this board. It truly is a beauty.

Thanks for the compliment. New motor only has about 1000 miles on it and I haven't started tuning for the 1/4 mile yet. I did take it for the first time last month for a couple of shake down passes and it went 13.4 at 105 MPH. That was on BFG street radials and idling out in first gear. Shifting at about 4800. I'm hoping for another 4 or 5 MPH with tuning.

I just sold my '87 Regal Turbo T WE4 last month for $16,5000. The market hasn't recovered fully from the last downturn.

Don't know who painted it. I bought it about 4 years ago and the car was painted two owners ago back in Charlotte, NC where I went to buy it. All I had to do was have it clay barred and polished out and it still looks great. Appreciate all the compliments. Since you've asked for pics, I'll post a couple here of the motor and interior. The Sandlewood interior is all original. Car is loaded with air, PS, PDB, tilt wheel, power seat, power windows, N25 exhaust extensions, Rear defogger. Odd that it didn't come with power door locks too.

Since the pics were taken, I've installed the correct saddle steering wheel and the correct in-dash tach along with an Autometer gauge cluster below the dash.
