Plug n Chug Cupholder

Does anyone know if the 1970 - 1972 Chevelle (non SS) plug n chug cupholders, will fit and work in the ashtray opening of a 1970 Buick Skylark. Looking at pictures, it looks like it ought to fit. Anyone try one of these? I contacted the mfg and they don't know, or make one, specific to the Buick Skylark. Both cars are GM A bodies, so it should fit?

 

I believe the Chevelle ash trays were a bit different size, so it may not work

 

According to the mfg, the SS ashtrays are/were substantially side than the non SS (Malibu and Chevelle) ashtrays, which made me think that the non SS size ashtray might be interchangeable with the 70 - 72 Skylark.

 

I own a `70 gs and a`72 chevelle non ss,the cup holder does not fit gs ashtray.
