    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

It looks like my rear end is has leaked over the years and my Muncie M20 is leaking. I am putting in new shocks, springs, rear control arm bushings, boxing in the rear lower control arms as well as adding the rear control arm braces etc. Since it will be easier to pull the entire rear end for all this I'm thinking its time to rebuild the rear or get a new one....Car was originally a 72 Skylark Custom convertible with Saginaw 3 on the tree, 2 barrel which I changed to a Muncie, added TA 4 barrel intake, headers etc. It looks like to buy a good posi rear end is going to cost me $1,500 to -$2,000+ with shipping.

It is cheaper to rebuild (to posi) my rear-end (10 bolt) than buy another one? Also if anyone knows who can rebuild it and at the same time change the seals and look at my Muncie in the Western New York Buffalo area it would be greatly appreciated?

    Thanks

I would normally recommend Carmen Faso, but he has slowed down a little on the big stuff.
Parts , cams, Nailhead stuff he gets on right away.

Ok. I remember Carmen and lives 20 minutes from me. I saw the rear monzaz on eBay but a little rich for me but appreciate the discount :) I think I can have mine rebuild for under $1000. I am going to pull the rear end tomorrow as first step... Thanks all!

I ended up having Brian do this and his 4 speed guy rebuild the Muncie. Priced right and they both look great installed. Won't know how they perform until the 350 comes back from the engine shop in about a month. Also bought a column from Brian, looks like he does exceptional work.... Thanks Brian and all...
