get well to Tom Shaw Tom was in a serious car accident and is in ICU I will post updates as I get them.
Thoughts and prayers from the Corsello's to Tom and his family. A true gentleman, and one heck of a great writing talent. Get well soon Tom !
Best wishes for full recovery Tom. Always enjoy having conversations with you. And appreciate all the help you've given me.
I talked to Dan, he said Lyndon had spoken to Tom in the ICU ward, he was in pretty good spirits but the extent of his injuries is not known.
Just to clarify the information about Tom as I know it. I texted him in regards to a press release I was putting together for him, and I received a text back that I (Tom) am in ICU and cannot talk. I responded to him that if he needed anything to let me know and in Tom's light hearted fashion responded, "bring food and drink" I have not been able to talk directly to Tom but as soon as I can will post his condition with his permission. I know Tom would say thank you for all your concerns. He is a very important part of PSMCDR and we wish him a fast recovery.
I've never had the pleasure of meeting Tom. From reading all the previous posts, he must be a very nice person. I wish him a full and speedy recovery. And, I hope to 'remedy' the never meeting him situation.
Tom, all the best from the Stude people and all the rest of the muscle car guys. Hope you heal quickly with no lasting effects. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I first met Tom back in 1990 and he has always been a good man .I hope he fully recovers and quickly .Get well soon my friend .
I e-mailed Tom this past Monday, October 24, looking for a better photo of one of the Studebakers at the 2016 PSMCDR, for my major report of the event that appears in our January edition of Turning Wheels, the International Studebaker Drivers Club publication. (Tom volunteered some time ago that he had some good pics of the Studes and to let him know if I needed any.) Of course, I didn't know he'd been in an accident when I e-mailed him. He replied to my e-mail right away and said he was in a hospital's (didn't say which one) ICU from a car wreck Saturday evening, October 22. He said he had a bruised aorta(?) and some cracked ribs. He said his son was bringing his [Tom's] laptop by later in the day and that he'd look for some pictures and forward them if he had any of the car I described. I replied that he shouldn't go out of his way to do so, under the circumstances, and wished him well. That's the last contact that's been made, so I, too, hope he's doing well and is checking in here for good wishes. All the best, Tom; you are in our prayers. Please let us know how you're doing if you are able! :TU: BP
