Our nephew killed himself this weekend. He was found yesterday. He was 24 years old. He grew up with my son Tyler and they spent a lot of time together. He had suffered through years of addictions. So sad to see a young man go through all of this.
    Thanks.

I know of one 20+ kid in the neighborhood who is going through addictions and troubles. Sad to see so much of it. Best wishes and prayers to your family.

One of the guys I worked with, lost his son 6 months ago similar situation. Home out of the Navy, about a year. He struggled.

15 yrs ago the guy who trained me, committed suicide at a cell site we took care of. I still remember that month.

Your family will be in my prayers.

Thanks everybody. Went to his apartment yesterday to get some personal items. Not a fun trip, but necessary. Services today.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Unless you have experienced mental issues or periods of depression, you have no idea just how the human mind can 'play games' with you. Sadly, too many do not seek the help they need for various reasons, especially the fear of social stigma, "What will everyone think?" or they don't want to bother others with their problem. It is sad that many end their suffering by suicide. My heart goes out to those who just couldn't take what they were dealing with anymore and to the loved ones who are left to pick up the pieces and wondering just what they could have done to prevent this.
