I see all you guys and gals preparing for Martin has me longing to get the Silver Slug prepared! Was really hoping to make Martin this year as Nationals for our youngest won't be until middle of July instead of end of June and this would have opened up being able to make Martin. But alas I am preparing for a different battle. For the past couple of years I've put off going to see a dr for my difficulty in swallowing while I took care of dad/business/family. Finally had tests done and found a narrowing in my esophagus where my surgery was done in 2000 to fix acid reflux. Routine pre surgery x-ray's found presence of a nodule on my right lung. CT scan w/ contrast confirmed its' presence on Monday (although I did run past my barn cat a couple of times and went to my dog for the Lab results before hand but they wouldn't tell me anything). Was to have out patient surgery on Monday to "stretch" the narrowing but put it off to have a PET scan done on Monday (they said visiting all my pets on the farm wasn't the same). This way since they are already will be in my throat for the stretch they can do whatever may need to be done in my lung. It's kinda like a two-fer / BOGO deal (maybe Remlinger has a coupon too). So I'm praying for lots of sunshine, cool air, tight track, fast times, extra-smokey burnouts, safe racing, awesome food, great fellowship, lots of laughs and loads of fun! 'til I see you all again soon, Lon aka Platinum6bbl
Just think of it, you get to have a port job done your throat! I know, barnyard CAT scans are a lot more fun than going in for real ones. Take care of yourself, hope to see you in Sept. and be good. Call if you need anything!!
Today I'm radioactive. No babies or geiger counters for me until tomorrow! Maybe I'll have a little "glow" to me tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
IT'S BENIGN! They also noted that I have enlarged lymph nodes so I have to have another CT scan in August to keep an eye on things. Onward to the stretching of my esophagus on Monday and consult with the pulmonary dr as to what, when & where as it pertains to the lung nodule.
That's great news Lon! I know we have never met, but I've been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
