I am getting ready to start adding circuits to my new wiring harnesses, but after checking with the local auto supplies, electronic supplies, and online, I am surprised that I am having difficulty finding the color wire in the gauge that I need. I am looking to match the factory colors in my '67 GS400. I am looking for 10gauge - 18gauge wire depending on the application. Red, black, white, and green doesn't appear to be an issue. It's the other colors, the light green, tan, etc, that I am having trouble finding. For example, I want to add relays to the headlamp circuit. The stock colors happen to be light green and tan. I have purchased stuff from Waytek Wiring in the past and they do have the gauge and the colors I need. But I cannot justify buying a 500foot roll when I only need a few feet. Has anyone found a source that stocks automotive wire in factory colors and gauge in less than 25foot lengths? Thanks.
I've bought wire from www.kayjayco.com back in 2011. Didn't have any problems with them back then. I don't know how they are now. I was able to buy in 20-30 ft lengths. They should have most of the colors you are looking for.
I bought an assortment of 14 ga wire off Ebay a few years ago. 14 or 16 spools of different color wire- tan, two different greens, lt blue, dk blue, pink, gray, etc. It was awesome. Still using it
