I cant seem to win. I bought these armrest pads from Tamraz. They are the PUI brand. Upon first glance, they seemed like quality parts. But the fit on my original original armrest bases was, to say the least, poor. They are contoured incorrectly and the core they use is too thick on the outer edge. I paid 74.95 and they are going back. I'd rather have by beat up originals than these.

Is it me? These things fit like #$%^. Check out the pics and see for yourself. (Some of the pics came out a little fuzzy for some reason). Does anyone make armrest pads that actually fit?

The ones I got from Legendary were goofy, but they took them back and sent some good ones!

I re-covered my originals; was really pretty easy.

legendary sells the material only if you want, and you can have your interior guy put them on, its much better then dealing with the repo stuff.

That's what I did too. Got some pearl material from Legendary and had an interior shop glue it on. I think he charged me 20 bucks. Looks good.

The key to a successful DIY on this is getting the right glue; learning that the new vinyl from Legendary stretches more in one direction than the other; warm up your vinyl; clean the old glue off the metal backing; and that as soon as you've glued the vinyl down you must immediately screw the pads back onto the armrest. This last step will hold the vinyl in place while the glue dries. My upholsterer told me these things when he sent me on my way with a little mason jar of his special glue.

Kind of him to reveal his secrets and save me some bucks.

Funny, I emailed Tamraz about the issue and incredibly thay said that they never had a complaint with them and its the first time they're hearing of an issue. suuuuuure.

The guy at Tamraz did say to send over some pictures and he will forward them to PUI. Which I did. Im sure PUI will be indifferent about the issue.

I asked him if he would accept the poor fit on his own car. I'll let you know what his responce is.

I did the same for mine but had a local interior shop do the actual work. I think I paid $20 each and they came out great. My interior was Burnished Saddle and I didn't want to mess with dying or painting them.
