Hi. I have received a lot of great information and I believe I think I know what I might do. I found out I currently am running a mismatched Quadrajet from a 69 350 on my 68 GS400 and it is running poorly. Since I need to rebuild, may as well see if anyone has a good complete core or a decent running one with these numbers I obtained from Mike. I am not running a race car or built engine, just a weekend cruiser.

Mark rebuilt the carb for my 68 GS400 and I am very happy with it!

My brother had a remanufactured Quadrajet that I am thinking of using. The number is 17058253
    1- leader to determine 1978
    70- Rochester
    5- 1976-1982
    8- 1978 with a 1 leader
    2- quadrajet
    5- Oldsmobile
3- where I cannot determine what engine it came off of. I know it is a manual shift

Does anyone know what engine the 3 represents.

And Mark, how much is a general rebuild of 7028240 or 7028248? I had both of these the whole time in storage.

The 17058253 was 1978 Oldsmobile Delta and 98 350-403 engine, automatic trans.

Our complete build prices start at $250 for a stock engine.
