I am looking for quarter panel skins for a 72 Skylark. Tabco has the skins for a great price, but I found some on c2cfabrication.com for about $104 a side. So on c2c or classic 2 current, you can get both skins for less than a single skin from Original Parts Group or The Parts Place. So, has anyone had successful purchases from c2cfabrication? I also noticed that they have a lower rear quarter patch which I have not seen on other sites??? I appreciate any reviews or knowledge of c2cfabrication or even more about Tabco's quarter skins. Thanks!
I have used Tabco about 6-8 times...excellent product...Tabco was bought out by Sherman&Associates and I have a contact there.....I had him make the lower rear qtr patch panel as well as the inner front fender structure...I have this listed on our website.......never heard of C2C and would be suspicious on the cost......probably a thinner material and different grade.
Have used C2C for floor panels and they are very helpful. They are outside of Detroit and know their stuff. They come from the automotive industry and use american metal. modern sheetmetal can be thinner and much better than what they used 20=50 years ago. I'm in US Steel a lot and see the steel being used by the automakers and it's impressive what they have done for quality. Dynacorn uses the modern steel in there reproduction bodies.
I took a chance and bought the 70-72 quarter skins from C2C, $100 a piece, the cheapest I found anyware...................and they are Sherman parts. Very happy
can you post some pic's of the skin's and what was your shipping cost? I'am in need of some skin's to fix my quarters too ! :gp:
