Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows if the full quarter panels that Poston sells are a good fit. Has anyone out there used them? If not, does anyone know who makes the best fitting quarter-panel for a 69 Skylark convertible? Thanks for any help.
Yes, I like to know that to! Wuz, up LZ? Seriously, if money were not an issue, which vendor would YOU use? I'd rather spend more $$$ now to save $$$ in the future.
Saw a set on a '69 GS ragtop. Couldn't fit the wheelwell trim on due to the lip being formed wrong. Might be $$$ ahead to get some rustfree hardtop skins and have them cut down to size. I'm assuming the existing have a bad case of the tin worms. Have the shop install them as high as possible and butt weld to the existing steel. This proceedure is where your getting what you pay for. Talk to the local "concours" guys and the hot rodders. They can recomend a good shop to handle this. Talk to GSgil on this board. He was from here in WI, but has moved to MT. HAs access to good rustfree stuff. He knows his stuff and won't steer you wrong. Mike Garrison also has/had a '69 4dr rear clip. This may work for you if not too much steel is needed. OR theres always evil-bay. Jim '69 GS California 455 Stage 1/Muncie 4spd/3.31 12 bolt posi "Passes everything but gas stations"
69 quarters Jim, thanks a lot for taking the time to reply. I was thinking about locating some rust-free originals as an option. Thanks for the contact information.
