    1970 buick skylark 350-350 2bll/auto/12 bolt rear.
    when i removed my interior,i found a partial buildsheet,just a side edge.
i can read the dealers name, and some of the codes, but the rest of the sheet is mia.

is there a way to get a copy of my build sheet for my car?

it was Charged to Gaylin Buick,2140 morris avenue,Union NJ,
and shipped to Gaylin Buick at 2265 morris avenue,Union NJ

doesnt appear to be a dealer anymore,as the addy comes up for a bank now....?

Duplicate sheets are not available. Depending upon build date, you can secure the information of how it was ordered from either Sloan Museum or Wayne Roberts. Your Fisher Body data plate will have the date of manufacture.

    ty for the response,and..
TY also for inspiring myself and others way bitd by saving that showcar.
i remember reading the articles and thinking what an incredible car that was.
and that something so wild could actually be loose on the street too.

anyways, heres my data tag,if anyone can help me get this figured out.
id love to know how this car came equipped/built.
at this point,im probably going to keep it mostly original and add a 4bbl intake/carb.
theres quite enough gs clones out there already..

    Built in Framingham plant
    Dec, 1969 - 3rd week
    Black standard vinyl seats
    Harvest gold body color (58)
Code H looks like two tone paint with Seamist Green top color. This would be a strange combo. Can anyone else confirm if this is right?

Painted top would be a number (e.g. 58 45 for Harvest Gold/Seamist Green). Don't have any books handy, but would think H would be a Dark Gold vinyl top since G was used for Green

I believe H is the gold colored top. I had a ‘70 Flint built GS455 and it was Harvest Gold, Gold vinyl top, and Buckskin bucket interior. The Gold top is unusual and I think was discontinued early in 1970 (mine was also built in December ‘69). I’ve seen it on Jarvis Allen’s ‘70 and a local ‘70 Monte Carlo.

    TY Gentlemen for that.
im wondering if i can find out what engine/trans/rearend was installed by the factory ?
quote/you can secure the information of how it was ordered from either Sloan Museum or Wayne Roberts.
how do i get ahold of those people?

and,do they make gold vinyl tops for this car?

Sloan: http://sloanlongway.org/ will have the first half of the 1970 production year. Wayne Roberts has the 2nd half of the 1970 production year. You can search for his information on this board.

When was your car built? Look on the data tag under the hood.

quick question, please bear with me,i looked over the sloan site and im not sure what option i need?
i see the vin decoders and how much they want to do this, but i already have my vin decoded i need to find out how the car was Equipped?
can someone point me to the correct link to apply for that info?
sorry if im reading the site wrong,i dont mind giving them money,i just dont want to waste it on the wrong app.
    thanks,cheers,Rob

also,if this is a harvest gold top/same as body, does anyone make that top anymore?
seems odd, having a vinyl top same color instead of being painted same color but?
i have no clues and dont know buicks like yall do.

I doubt anyone makes a Gold vinyl top unless SMS or someone like them has original material. Your best bet is to have one dyed. Sloan doesn’t decode your VIN, they match it to production documents that detail how your specific car was built.

    I'm confused by this.

My car as 12D, yet Dano got the Wayne Roberts docs.

What's considered the second half of the 1970 model year?

I see it's done by plant.

That makes it easier to comprehend now.

    Thanks!

Framingham is ‘G’, so all VINs above ..xxxxx0G100001 and below xxxxx0G603836, which yours, 435370G120359, is, would be available from Sloan. Their listing is confusing, but the availability list starts with the sixth digit (0 for 1970, then the plant’s letter, then the six digit production number).
I think what you get is a packet with a full list of colors, options, drivetrain, etc.; I’m not sure what it looks like but it will tell you everything about your car.

For info purposes I am showing you what my package from Sloan consists of. There is duplication in the package in regard to the Wholesale Order Form and as I already had the Bill of Sale, Window Sticker and partial Build Sheet, I did not learn much more than what I already knew. But nevertheless, it is nice to have.
